It’s had a tremendous effect.  I feel like we’re both new people.  We developed a “game plan” or time-out system for our major problems, and I feel like it’s life-changing.  We never could have done this at home; we’ve tried plenty of times.  There has to be something in the air or water.  This was liberating, safe, and fair ground; we were both somehow freed from ourselves and allowed to reach life-changing breakthroughs.  I have never had a favorite place/location. This weekend in Corpus Christi, TX and this hotel will forever be my favorite place.
Wife, Married 3 years, Marital Health from 4 to 10

Before this weekend, Andrew and I didn’t know how to communicate.  We loved each other deeply, but we just couldn’t fix our problems from past actions and words.  Now I feel renewed and closer to him than ever.  We’ve learned to let go and let God.  Wife, from 3 to 8
This getaway made me remember how deeply I love and care for my wife.  It has made me realize I have to let go of my pride and selfishness, and now that I’ve done that, our marriage is back on track.  Husband, from 5 to 8, Married 5 weeks

Very good.  The opportunity to escape the distractions of everyday life and focus on each other and our marriage has led us on the first step of a life-changing journey.  Husband, from 4 to 7
After 26 years of marriage we are “starting over”.  We will begin with courtship.
Wife, from 1 to 3, Married 26 years
A breath of fresh air.  Enlightening, refreshing, fun, uplifting.  Renewed our love and faith in our marriage.  The speakers were relatable, engaging, relevant, and hilarious. Wife, from 7 to 9, Married 10 years
Great, designated, focused time away from the pressures of work and parenting.  A good reminder that we are still us.  Glad we did this at five years rather than later.   Wife, from 5 to 7, Married 5 years
It truly helped us reconnect and learn so much info about one another.  Plus we’ve never been alone so we had our honeymoon 4 years later, and it was amazing!!  Truly a weekend to remember, and I will never 4get!  Wife, from 3 to 10, married 4 years
Life-changing and we were thinking about divorce.  Arguing was daily for months and now we want to work on us and have the tools to do so.  Wife, from 1 to 6,  Married 19 years
This is our third WTR conference.  Each time I’ve learned more and different information on being a godly wife and mother.  I am so grateful because this weekend has been the most changing for us.  I leave today feeling wholly devoted to my marriage and believing my husband is, too.  Wife, from 6 to 8, Married 15 years
Because we came from out of town, we were forced to be together and communicate.  We fought the whole time, but we got a lot off our chests.  Wife, from 3 to 4, Married 9 years
We’ve been married 40 years and we have been to many marriage events and read lots of materials.  This was FRESH and very useful.  Great choice of speakers.  This helped my wife and me prepare for the next phase of our life together.  Husband, from 9 to 9, Married 40 years

I feel like this has breathed life into my marriage and given my wife and I a new beginning in our relationship.  Husband.  It renewed my hope for my marriage.  I confessed to my husband that I had physical evidence I’d held onto for 19 years, preparing for my divorce.  When I get home, it’s gone.  I’m destroying it.  Wife.  Couple, married 30 years

As a church pastor, I approached this weekend with the attitude of an observer.  I thought I would evaluate FamilyLife to see if it would be good for others I know.  However, through the weekend I was the one whom God evaluated through the sessions and projects.  I was weighed and found lacking in some key areas.  Thank you for the healthy “heads up”.  I will use what I learned to improve my marriage.  Husband, Married ? years

Provided us one-on-one time to talk through tough topics that were hurtful in the past.  My husband after a long time has told me how much he appreciates me and all I do for us as a family.   It has been a blessing to hear that he sees all I do.  Wife, Married 10 years

Major effect.  Several weeks ago we were talking about divorce.  Now we are completely committed to growing together in oneness.  J Wife, Married 6 years

We were the couple with divorce papers in the car.  We realized this weekend that our marriage is worth fighting for.  We redirected ourselves to Christ, each other, and our family.  We have a blueprint and tips to help us navigate through life together.   Husband, married 19 years

The sharing after Project 3 and into date night was a good time to hear from each other things we hadn’t known for 33 years of marriage.  Wife, married 33 years

Our marriage was on the brink of failure.  After attending, we realize the impact our commitment really has and the importance of achieving oneness together.  This weekend has given us practical and encouraging ways to get back on track.  We are excited to see what our marriage now has in store.  Wife, married 6 years

My wife was ready to leave.  She found an apartment, signed a lease, and was excited about “getting her life back.”  I was lost with no purpose.   Now she has decided to cancel the lease and give us a chance.  I have found a new purpose and focus I need to have on my wife, myself, and my children.  Thank you!!  Husband, Married 9 years

This getaway helped us be able to put words to frustrations, hurts, and thoughts in a positive and healthy loving way.  It was great going home and sharing with our parents and grandparents what we’d learned!  They were very receptive!  I can’t wait to actively love, serve, and pour into my marriage again!  J  Wife, Married 3 years

Gave some foundation for possibly rebuilding our marriage.  We are currently living apart.  Husband, Married 20 years

We have a better understanding of a spiritual marriage, husband and wife roles, and parenting.  The getaway has given us insight and inspiration on making it work.  We were filing for divorce in April 2015. Wife, Married 3 years
